The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Fair Housing Act (FHA) stand as powerful guardians of individual rights, aiming to eliminate inequality and promote equal treatment across various domains of public life.


Enacted in 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act represents a landmark piece of legislation that focuses on dismantling obstacles faced by individuals with disabilities. Its scope is broad, covering crucial aspects such as employment, public accommodations, transportation, and telecommunications.
A key feature of the ADA is its emphasis on ensuring that individuals with disabilities have the opportunity to access services and facilities that everyone else enjoys. This is achieved through the provision of reasonable accommodations that enable full participation. For instance, businesses must make their physical spaces accessible to individuals with mobility impairments, and employers are obligated to provide necessary accommodations to disabled employees, leveling the playing field in the workplace.
